POKÉMON X KOGEI will travel to L.A.!

“POKÉMON X KOGEI” is traveling abroad.
JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles has recently announced that the exhibition currently running at the National Crafts Museum in Kanazawa is making its U.S. debut in July 2023 at the Japanese cultural center in California’s largest city.

“POKÉMON X KOGEI — Playful Encounters of Pokémon and Japanese Craft,” running through June 11 (2023) in Kanazawa, showcases craft work produced by 20 contemporary kogei (Japanese craft) artists — including designated Living National Treasure (preserver of important intangible cultural properties) Morihito Katsura (metal works) — for the exhibition, all of which are based on well known Pokémon characters like Pikachu and Jolteon.
