warlord Uesugi Kenshin (1530-78) and other members of the powerful Uesugi clan, which were repaired under the auspices of the Tsumugu Project, can be viewed sequentially at the Keisho-den treasure house of Uesugi Jinja &#8212; a shrine dedicated to Kenshin &#8212; in Yonezawa, Yamagata Pref., where they are kept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors to the treasure house will be able to view at least one of the four repaired samurai surcoats of the Muromachi-Momoyama period &#8212; all of which are designated important cultural properties of Japan &#8212; along with other
